Chilled and relaxed hideaway with a lovely host
It’s a peaceful, chilled place to kick back. Base yourself in North Canterbury in a tent or hire the Belle tent or Maxx Haus and go out and explore the area. Vineyards, winery’s, restaurants, pubs, surfing, fishing, swimming. Cruisey owner who loves meeting people

The lovely caravan accommodation (Betsy Lee) was cozy and peaceful, making my stay all the more enjoyable. The workload was very manageable, and I appreciated how it was focused on organic practices—learning and working in such an environment was a rewarding experience. Beyond work, I had a great time listening to Gabe’s fascinating stories and playing pool and Rummikub with him and Cary. I’ll definitely miss the delicious meals he cooked and, of course, the breathtakingly clear night skies filled with stars. Staying at 3 Monkeys Retreat was an experience worth having, and I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance! Thank you Gabe for the wonderful experience. | ★★★★★ |

This time of the year ( Feb) it was warm and and great weather for a BBQ which Gabe will arrange if requested ( the BBQ not the weather.)There are various spaces to stay in from newly renovated cabins to a small but funky 50’s caravan. I can highly recommend 3 Monkeys. It’s perfect for a quiet getaway for singles or couples but also perfect for small groups. | ★★★★★ |

I helped out with some gardening, weeding, mowing the lawn, and chopping wood – easy tasks that were rewarded with a delicious dinner cooked by Gabe. The caravan I stayed in was nice and comfortable. I had so much fun chatting and playing Rummikub in the evening with him.
